COVID-19 Saleroom Information
Our next sale is on the 23rd April and includes a full range of antiques and collectables as well as a special section for Advertising Antiques and Enamel Signs. This sale is now closed for entries and the catalogue will be online from the 17th April
Entries for our May 28th sale can be accepted by appointment. The sale includes stamps, silver, gold, jewellery, collectables, furniture, paintings, ceramics & glass. The insatiable demand for antiques at online auctions is creating a very buoyant market - making this an excellent time to sell good quality antiques and collectables. Please do ensure you are observing all government safety guidelines including wearing a mask and by ensuring you are not suffering from any Covid symptons or have had any potential Covid contacts within the last two weeks.

Bidding at our Auctions
We are delighted to be able to welcome a limited number of 'In Room' Buyers for our April sale. Please telephone to make an appointment. Alternatively you can bid online or by commission or telephone bids left with the auctioneer. The fully illustrated catalogue will be available from the 17th April. You can bid live here on our website, and we are also present on Easy Live Auction and The-Saleroom.com. There is an additional online live bidding fee for these services.
You can also bid for free directly with the auctioneers via this website or by telephone.
Smiths provide an excellent in-house postage service for most small to medium sized items in the sale. Please see our postage page for further information or telephone us to check your item or items can be posted.
Under the current Covid timetable our 23rd April sale will be open for viewing by appointment Please preview our fully illustrated catalogue online available from the 16th April and telephone 01531 821776 for an appointment. For condition reports and further enquiries please email the saleroom on firstname.lastname@example.org during the week of the sale.
Purchases can be collected from the saleroom door by appointment using a 'click and collect' method. Customers should wear a mask and use the sanitiser gel provided. Items should be paid for in advance via our online secure payment system or by bank transfer.
Furniture items can be collected from within the saleroom, but adequate manpower should be provided since we are unable to ask our staff to provide assistance.
Entering Items for Auction
We are now open once again for valuations by appointment with a valuer in the saleroom. We can also provide a free valuation remotely from photographs sent by email or a home visit can be arranged for larger consignments.
Our auctions are selling extremely well online and we encourage vendors to consign good quality items to take advantage of this currently buoyant market.
